Welcome to Upnotes ("we," "our," or "us"). By accessing or using our Service, you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with these Terms, do not use the Service.
The Service
Upnotes provides a software solution for data management and productivity. Service features may be modified at our discretion. The Service operates primarily through client-side architecture.
Authentication: Authentication is handled through Supabase. Access requires a one-time password (OTP) sent to your email address. Passwords are not stored.
Data Storage: User data is stored directly in our Supabase-hosted database. The Service connects directly from your browser to the database for all operations.
User Accounts
Service use requires a valid email address.
Security Responsibility: You are responsible for securing your email account. Any person with email access may access your Service account.
Termination: We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access immediately, without notice, for any reason, including Terms violations.
User Content & Data
Ownership: You retain all rights to content you create, upload, or synchronize ("User Content"). We claim no intellectual property rights in your material.
License: By synchronizing content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to store and process your data solely for Service provision.
Privacy: Our architecture prioritizes privacy. We verify identity solely through email. We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service for:
- Storing or transmitting unlawful, threatening, defamatory, or obscene material.
- Uploading malicious code, viruses, or software designed to damage systems.
- Interfering with Service integrity or performance.
Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free. You use the Service at your own discretion and risk.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenues, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from:
- Your access to, use of, or inability to access or use the Service;
- Any unauthorized access to or use of our servers and/or stored information.
Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page. Your continued Service use after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where the Service provider is established, without regard to conflict of law principles.
